Video Programming at Katsucon 14
Katsucon's video rooms run 24 hours a day for the entire weekend. So whether you've got a few hours to spend between big events or it's 3 a.m. and you can't sleep, stop on by one of these four rooms to check out a wide variety of anime and live action showings. Video One: Latest and Greatest - Catch all of the latest releases here, including some big premieres! Video Two: Stand-Alone Complex - You'll find some of the best OVAs and other movies in this room. Video Three: Asian Cinema - Loads of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean live action movies will be playing in this room all weekend long. Late Night Video - A little of this, a little of that. Some of these showings are for adults only. Explanation of ratings: The ratings serve as a general guideline for the type of audience the programming is aimed toward, similar to the broadcast TV ratings system in the United States. TV-G: Programs issued this rating are deemed appropriate for general audiences, however content in these programs are not always specifically intended towards children. TV-PG: This rating signifies that the program is intended for general audiences, but contains some content that may be unsuitable for young children without the guidance of a parent. TV-14: This rating signifies that the program is intended for audiences 14 and older. It may contain content unsuitable for children without guidance of a parent. Parents are encouraged to watch the show with their children. TV-MA: This rating signifies that the program is intended for mature audiences 17 and older. It may contain content unsuitable for children. The implication of the rating varies according to program, due to strong violence, strong language, and/or suggestive dialogue or situations. Parents are strongly advised to consider whether to allow their children to watch such programs with them. Ratings may contain content subratings: (V-Violence, S-Suggestive situations, D-Suggestive dialogue, L-Strong language) Certain TV-MA screenings will be age 18+ only due to extreme violence or extreme sexual situations. These screenings will be prominently indicated in the schedule and description. Identification will be required before entry to the video room where such screenings are taking place. No exceptions will be made, so remember to bring your ID with you if you wish to attend the 18+ screenings.
