Q: When does the convention get started?
A: Well, on Friday, different events ramp up at different times. At-door registration and pre-registration badge pickup begin at 8:00am, the Merchants' Room opens at 12:00n, and live programming gets started at 1:00pm with a Katsucon Panel Preview to give you a great idea about the great things going on at the convention! After then, the convention runs 24 hours a day until late afternoon on Sunday!

A: Katsucon's cosplay prop guidelines for carrying around the convention are here. If you have a question about a prop for your Cosplay skit or presentation, send an e-mail to cosplay@katsucon.org which is our Cosplay Director. Ask him and he shall answer.

Q: What food options are available at or around the hotel?
A: The Hotel restaurant will be serving buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with the following menu and pricing:
Breakfast: each morning the Omni serves its "Art of Breakfast" buffet with a stunning and wide selection of organic eggs and meat, waffles, fruit, cereal, muffins, all the fixings of a wonderful breakfast! Price is $16.50.
Friday Dinner: Burritos, Taco and Fajitas with Refried beans, rice, and fixings bar. Soda and ice included, Price: $15.00 inclusive.
Saturday Lunch: Hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, pizza, macaroni & cheese and stuffed potato skins, soda and iced tea: Price: $10.00 inclusive.
Saturday Dinner: Orange chicken, beef szechwan, egg rolls, fried rice, ginger glazed vegetables. Price: $15.00 inlcusive.
In addition to the above buffet offerings, Robert's full, award-winning menu will also be available.
The times for the buffets are as follows:
Lunch: 12:00n to 4:00p
Dinner: 5:00p to 9:00p
In addition, the hotel's quick-service shop, Morsels, will be open from 6:00a to 12:00m daily throughout the convention.
